Excellent Murder-Mystery-Romance

A serial killer has been strangling young blonde women in the town of Brauxton. Retired police detective Alex Devane has been brought back to head up the investigation, and Ivy Kincaid is determined to play a more active role in the at-the-scene detective work. The killer likes to place clues at the scene for the next victim and Ivy and Alex work zealously to put the pieces together, catch the killer, stay out of each other's arms and prevent Ivy from making the killer's victim list. This is a well-plotted story, and I like how the characters discuss having sex and what they want out of the relationship, before they jump into bed together. There are some very funny conversations, especially early on. Both characters are smart-alecs and very intelligent, which helps them match wits with the killer.
