Peaceful Kids learn to accept what they feel and then find equilibrium again. A Peaceful Kid learns regulation by sometimes being loud, dancing, and stomping. A peaceful kid is allowed to feel difficult emotions and direct their energy in safe ways. Then, they practice deep breathing & relaxation techniques.
This book can be used in or out of order, using one prompt at a time or all of them at once, but it is advised to give your Peaceful Kid plenty of practice BEFORE they have a difficult time. The more practice when they're in a calm state, the easier it will be to use later on. The prompts get gradually calmer, less about the physical action of expressing an emotion and more about breathing & guided visuals to get back to equilibrium, so if you skip around, keep that in mind.
