Book Overview

Trent Duncan did a good job holding his family together after his dad died - it's just too bad he couldn't do the same for himself. Now he's a charming, smooth-talking - and jobless - player. But he's about to play himself right out of the game, because a couple of his exes are going to make him wish he'd listened to momma. Brother Wil's marriage is on the rocks, and if his wife doesn't explain herself soon, she could find herself losing out to Wil's...

I'm still Hanging in There

This is my 13th read by this popular author. I am usually pleased with all of his work but this is one of the beginning novels that he published and it is probably the weakest. I won't criticize much but I feel like this one was rushed. It did not measure up to his others and of course by now he has moved on to have a few of his works being made into television dramas. Hats off to you and i hope you continue to write and bring us some of those hungry good work that you cooked up in the past. This family: Wil was torn between being a cheater and taking the time to resume love with his wife who was "too full of herself. Melanie lacked self confidence and no self esteem. Of course the star of the novella is Trent who was a gigolo who always found a way to make women pay for his affection. What was really strange and over the top was : a woman who just won the lottery coming into a bar and asking a man to buy her drink but ends up setting up the bar. This scene with Indigo was too much over the top and totally unbelievable and what happens to her in the end is just unreal. I must admit Trent was a dog until the end. I'm guess I will be looking for Carl's next project.

GOTTA GET....

This book took the reader through all types of drama. The beginning had me rolling, I'm walking through the building reading this book and laughing out loud. Crazy! But anyway, you will not be dissapointed, just when you think something's going to happen, carl takes you to something else. The end will leave you with your mouth wide open and shocked. Good readings and keep up the good work Carl.

Fantastic!!!!

I loved this book from beginning to end. I loved it so much that I read it in TWO DAYS!!!! Once I opened it, the first night, I read ten chapters! I couldn't put it down. Go out and buy this one...I can't wait for The Preacher's Son!!!

Never Disappointed!!!

I am a loyal Carl Weber fan. I have not been disappointed by any of his work and I have to say that this book is no different. I started reading this book on a Friday evening and was finished by Saturday evening. There was drama throughout the whole book. Mr.Weber you did again. I cannot wait until your next book!!!

He gets crazier and crazier with every book!!!

Carl Weber has either got to be living a crazy life or his friends are for him to come up with this stuff!!! Player Haters was another page turner filled with laughter. We once again get to visit the life of Wil, our friend from Weber's novel, Married Men. But this time we get to meet his player of a brother, Trent and their sister, Melanie. These three siblings have more in common than just their last name - they also have lives filled with DRAMA!!! Mr. Weber really outdid himself with this one - especially with the ending. This is a must-read for anyone that enjoys a great, fast paced read.

DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Carl Weber's books I have to admit so I may be bias (Married Men is my favorite) but with Player Haters he's taken it to the next level. First there's Trent. The dog you love to hate. He's got more tricks than a magician and tongue slipperier than a snake. Trust me, we all know him. Then there's sweet lovable Wil. (I love him because he likes a big woman like myself. Plus he was in Married Men) Wil's got problems, beyond problems but I won't give away the story. (Just watch out if your man gets a secretary named MIMI) then there is Melanie. This girl can't see a good thing when it's standing in front of her. She's found her prince and I mean that literally.I wish I could give this book 10 stars because it was that good. Don't plan on going to bed early if you start this one. Cause you won't be able to put it down.
