Introduces the physical characteristics, habits, and natural environment of the platypus, an animal found only in Australia This description may be from another edition of this product.
This story is about the platypus. I learned that they like to eat worms, insects, fish eggs, water plants, and crayfish. A female platypus is smaller than a male platypus. They have poison in their hands. One time there were men who killed platypuses. Platypuses got extinct so the government made them stop. Platypuses live in burrows near the water. I wonder if platypuses have enemies? I wonder if they kill people if they get in our waters? I wonderf if the thing in their hands where the poison goes out of breaks off? You will like this book because it tells you about an animal that lives on land and water. by Brandon Newell

The platypus is one of the weirdest creatures on earth and has been my favourite since I was old enough to walk (or so it seems ;)). This book is simple, straight forward, and offers good information as well as pictures of this elusive creature. I bought this book to add to my collection when I was 19 y/o. Doesn't matter what age you are, this is a great book. =)
This is a really good book!

It is a good book because it tells you about the life of a platypus. It tells you what it eats, where it lives in Aultralia. This is a good book for anyone who likes platypuses.
