the best book on the subject

I agree with the review given above. This is definately the best book on the subject that I have read. It is well illustrated and obviously written by someone who knows his subject extremely well. I was lucky to get a copy from a second hand book shop. I do hope the book will be republished soon

Probably the best book on the subject

If you are looking for a serious approach to the subject of Plants of The Bible then this is the book. The other books I have read all rely heavily on Zohary but do not emmulate him succesfuly and instead have too much of a "coffee table" approach. This is, in contrast, the classic book on the subject - well edited and written by an expert in the field (he has written many other botanical books on the flora of Israel and was a professor of Botany).If you can find the book and interested in the subject - buy it. When will it be republished though?
