Simple and easy

Good starter book, good flow and easy to understand. A great beginner book to refrence from time to time

A very useful book for the amateur astrologer

I use this book quite a lot when I'm writing up a chart; it provides clearly written, detailed delineations of each planet/sign combination, describing what each placement could mean for a personality. There's a good sense of each planet's distinct role; plentiful examples of people who epitomize, e.g., Mercury in Aquarius are also helpful. My one quibble is that it's sometimes a bit inflexible, as if some personality traits are always associated with a given placement. A "Planets in Houses" sequel would be appreciated.

Planets in Signs is THE astrology book to have !

As a beginner in astrology I have searched from east to west looking for astrology books that could give me a clearly developed understanding of how and why the planets function in signs and Planets in Signs by Skye Alexander is the book to have if that is what you are looking for. Not only is the book clear and thorough in its explanation but it includes all of the major areas of a planet a person should pay careful attention to when interpreting a planet in a sign. Clearly hands down winner for planet in sign interpretation for beginners beating the popular The Only Way to Learn Astrology series and even the Parker's Astrology textbook. It is even an excellent reference book for astrology counselors to take pointers from. Based on the authors writing style and insight I hope Skye Alexander has a long writing career.
