Every girly girl will love Pixie Hollow Paint Day! This is a cute little Disney book for newly independent readers. It's also a learning-to-read, step-by-step book. Pixie Hollow Paint Day is a Step 4 level book. It has challenging vocabulary and short paragraphs. The story is all about fairies. The main character, Bess, is the art talent fairy. She is painting an important painting, but runs out of paint. She decides to invite the other fairies to a paint party to make more paint. Something unexpected happens but it has a happy ending. Even though this book is written for second and third graders, it would also appeal to younger children who enjoy being read to. We enjoyed the story and the creative illustrations.
