Excellent study of 13+ Old West women

I've read many books about the women in the Old West and this one ranks right up there with the finest. The author explores the lives of 13 main women and includes within each chapter several other women who fit into the chapter theme. Each chapter is a different woman and a different theme. There are two Indian women, 1 Black woman, a prostitute, a school teacher, a house wife kidnapped by Indians, a Confederate spy, a debutante who shocked all of society by her behavior and more. This very well could be the author's finest book to date. Hugs Toni
