You have to see the 1st two to get it!

Just like the first two it's great except I didn't understand the plot, so I got the 2nd movie, Dead Man's Chest & u really have to watch the first(Curse of the BlackPearl)& Dead Man's Chest(which is a prelude to #3)to know what's going on in this 3rd movie. They are great fun & JohnnyDepp is CaptainJackSparrow, a role he co-created(based on RollingStone's Keith Richards) & it wouldn't be the same without him. Keith Richards cameos in this one as Jack's brother, it's a good addition! KeiraKnightley&Orlando Bloom are in the first 3 movies along with Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbaruso, a crusty pirate who caused Jack's crew to mutiny & take over the BlackPearl. If u haven't seen these movies, you'll love them for the whole family & u can't even rent one for the price of all 3 movies! Also the 2 dvd sets include hours of really interesting bonus material about finding locales & the incredible things(like building a couple ships in remote area of Caribbean!)they & the actors had to do shooting the film on remotest of places, a country I'd never heard of without the needed infrastructure to support the 400 crew members, they even had to build roads! The bonus stuff is as good as the movies! Aaaargh!
