Great book on local lore and pirates that every North Carolinian should read!

This is a fascinating little book of short stories of local folklore and legends. Made me an instant fan of Judge Whidbee. Can’t get enough of his stuff. Only wish I could have met the man. Have since read 2 more of his books on the Outer Banks. And am looking forward to finishing all of them and then “loaning” them out to ones I judge to be of sufficient good character to enjoy the books as much as I currently am. These will be in my collection for many, many years to come.

Blackbeard's Cup is the best story

Judge Whedbee is a captivating storyteller and every story he has written has been fantastic. Blackbeard's Cup is the reason I bought this book and his account of his experience on Ocracoke Island was just as good of a read as I'd been told it was. If you like North Carolina legends and lore, this is a must own.
