Mischievous, lazy, and full of tricks, the puppet Pinocchio causes trouble for his creator, Geppetto, almost as soon as he comes to life. Yet, more than anything, this naughty and playful creature wants to become a real boy. To make his dreams come true, he must prove himself worthy. Come along on Pinocchio's amazing journey as he learns--the hard way--what it means to be honest, kind, and, above all, human.
Read the story of Pinocchio that Disney didn't tell you.My son who is a huge fan of Disney's Pinocchio film, loved this book.We read it in one day.Wonderful edition to a great series.Alot of purists believe that these abridged versions are less than worthless.I disagree. The main parts of the story are present,in an easy to read and understand format. They serve a very good purpose. For someone who is just starting to read chapter books, for someone who has difficulty reading.Someone just learning english, or for someone like my son who is autistic,or has a disability of that nature these books are wonderful. So far this series is the best I have found of this style of abridged classics for children.Enjoyable read, easy to understand, not so long that the child becomes discouraged or loses interest.Nice hardcover copies at an affordable price.I have purchased most of this series and will continue to purchase future editions.
