Pike Place is a wonderful book!

Pike Place is a wonderful book! While the fictional story is told through the eyes of a 10-year-old girl, Bobbi Johnson, it's a book for all ages - especially for those who experienced growing up in the 1970s. It's a story about a young girl's coming of age and how an unforeseen incident removes the "safety net" around the world as she knows it and around her family. Bobbi is reminiscent of other heroines such Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird or Anne in Anne of Green Gables. This novel is rich in descriptions so you feel that you are truly in the midst of the Johnson family. Because of the creative way the author draws you into the family's worst nightmare, you experience all the emotions of the parents and children. I could not put this book down until I knew how it ended. Be sure to add this acclaimed new novel by Marilyn Tschudi to your book list and share with others.
