My daughter had this book read to her in Preschool. 30 years ago. It was her very all time favorite book. We read it for so many bedtimes and the original looks like it went through a whole preschool, not just one little kid! I looked into replacing it for her daughter, but at the price of a new one??? It is 10 times the original. Although I love the story. We will have to get along with the 1992 very worn, very loved copy.
Pulling a 'Pig William'

Pig William was one of my favorite books as a child, and I still love it even though I'm a senior in high school.Every time I get dirty clothes out of the laundry, I say that I'm 'pulling a Pig William' because that was one of my favorite parts. The philosophy of Pig William is one that can be followed by all!
One of the greatest literary works of all time.

My favorite childrens book
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
When I first got this book, I made everyone who came in my front door read it before they did anything else. It made me HAPPY. Pig william is my favorite childrens character. The book appealed to me in such an angelic, mischevious way. William marches to the beat of his own drummer, for sure. I think his best friend "fishy pinky" was my second favorite character. I loved the way he got his swim/scuba gear on before feeding and reading a story to his fish, "pinkey". Pinkey also responded wonderfully to william. "Fishy pinky little and dinky eating big fish chow..... It doesn't get any better than this..
My Fav. Childrens book!

Good book for parents and children to connect. This was the book that my mom and I shared because we loved it so much. It has humor that will make adults and children laugh. A good first book for a beg. reader. A must read, if not a buy at least look at it at a book story. I promise a smile to your face (ANY AGE!)
I laughed and laughed and laughed . . .

Pig William loiters through 32 pages of stalling, driving his pig brothers crazy, while he talks to his fish, Pinky, and makes faces in the bathroom mirror. Largely dependant on pictures, this children's book was my favorite, and still makes me laugh, especially because Pig William acts a lot like some members of my family. For anyone who talks to their fish or digs their favorite shirt out of the laundry.
