The Calming Magic of Christmas

Chastain Thibodaux has just returned to the States, for the last three years she has been studying in Europe. New York is one of the hubs of the art world and an excellent place to get her artistic feet wet. Her friend, David has loaned her the use of his gallery for her first showing, and has invited an eclectic group of art connoisseurs. He has a crush on Chastain and in an additional attempt to win her over, has loaned her the modest apartment over his gallery during her stay in New York. The night of the gala has arrived and Chastain is primed, but her eager anticipation is thwarted when Philippe Deveraux, the last person she expects to see, walks through the door. Their history is volatile to say the least, and fuel is added when Philippe threatens to sue her for hanging three sensuous, nude portraits of him. But, Chastain is no longer the naive seventeen-year-old who fell in love with someone outside of her social status, and who was dumped on Christmas Eve years ago. She has found herself and gained a maturity that belies her years; she is ready to do battle. Then, Philippe throws her a holiday twist, he has a proposition in lieu of a lawsuit, one he hopes will finally bring them together. PICTURE PERFECT CHRISTMAS confirms that the third time's a treasure and reaffirms that absence makes the heart grow fonder. This was not an explosive story, but as their past is revealed readers will appreciate and welcome their calm. Visiting the legendary Devereauxs was great and the secondary characters added just the right N'awlins flavor. I think what drew me to this story is the fact that life sometimes does not need bells and whistles, just a soft sweet hum, and a little holiday magic. Reviewed by aNN of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

The Unforgettable Devereaux Family ( 4.5 stars)

Chastin Thibodaux is back in the United States and has taken the art world by storm. That is until ex-beau Philippe Devereaux comes to her exhibit demanding she take down the nude paintings of him or he is going to sue. After calming down, Philippe realizes that he wants the paintings down almost as much as he wants Chastin back in his life. Chastin however refuses to let Philippe back into her life because it only causes her heartache. Luckily for Philippe, Chastin can't resist that Devereaux charm. Once she agrees to spend the holidays with him, they both realize that there may have been some misunderstandings about their breakup. Now that they have their relationship back on track, Chastin's grandmother comes along and tells her things that have her rethinking her entire life. Picture Perfect Christmas is another glimpse inside the unforgettable Devereaux family. It is a great warm and fuzzy holiday read. Schuster is a great author that has a writing style that flows. She also does an excellent job with primary and secondary character development. Whether this is your first or your seventh Devereaux novel, you will enjoy Picture Perfect Christmas. Nothing Greater Than A Holiday Romance & True Love that Lasts

OMG! This book was fantastic! First let me say that Melanie Schuster has done an awesome job with this series. I sort of started in the middle with Adonis and Angelique, but I have loved every single book I have read so far, with Paris and Titus being one of my all time favorites. The two books that dealt with the twins Lucien and Phillipe, were awesome. They were a pair of characters that made you laugh, cry and just wonder where you can find twins like that! I loved the plot, the family and most of all their commitment to their women once they were identified to be their future wives. "Picture Perfect" is a great catalyst to her next novel concerning Wade. It truly gives us something to look forward to, and I can't wait. I hope and pray that she doesn't stop writing about these characters any time soon. They are so wonderful to read about, and I would like to know how the wedding turns out and when the first baby will be due! I can see that the author truly puts her whole heart and soul into her writing and her characters. She has earned a fan for life. Thank you Melanie for sharing your awesome gift and talent.

What can i say, my sister has done it again, i just love this family, where are these fine speciman of flesh, lol

Love for Christmas!!!

Dear Ms Schuster! Welcome back!!! Chastain and Phillippe's story reaffirms that time makes the heart grow fonder. They just needed to find themselves, their center and everything fell into place. Great catching up with other Devereauxs and their cousin, Ricki, her husband, Antoine and their " old soul" kids. All the secondary characters were a hoot especially Lulu, Tippy, Toto, and Toots. Hope we can visit them again when you write Wade's story... Stay well and keep writing such beautiful and funny love stories. They just end too soon... All of your couples touch the heart... Thanks!
