Absolutely Incredible Alphabet Book!

The pictures in this book are black and white sketches with the letters in color over them. The letters are done in such a creative fashion that each page intrigues the eye and the mind. There are many things to look at and think about, each starting with the letter that is on that page. Most alphabet books are basic and can be a bit on the boring side but at the end I wished there were more letters in the alphabet. I also enjoyed how each page had the letters already reviewed in a row on the bottom. For example, on the 'E' page, ABCDE was listed. This is great for children to remember the order of our alphabet. The last page of this book has the answers to all of the objects for each lettered page (some of the words like vaccination will be tough for kids to figure out but good for vocabulary lesson) This book can also be used with children that enjoy an "eye spy" type of book. On the letter 'A' page, there is an archer, alligator, arrow, ape playing an accordian, airplane, acrobat, angel fish, apple, etc. This illustrator/author really knows how to keep one's attention, Brad Sneed.

Fabulous!

ABC books normally put me to sleep. I buy them for my three year old so she can learn the alphabet. But this book - WOW! I couldn't put it down! My three year old sat in my lap and wanted to turn the pages, but I wouldn't let her. I couldn't until I had devoured every detail of the luscious artwork in this book. I was fascinated by the way the author incorporated the letters into the pictures. You will be too. Just leave this book out on your coffee table and you will see people of all ages gravitate towards it. The stunning illustrations grab you and hold you until you have studied them again and again. This book is a work of art.

Discover the Alphabet.....

Brad Sneed offers a veritable feast for the eyes in this creative and engaging, wordless alphabet book. Each clever page features a marvelously imaginative scene highlighted by the letter itself in vibrant color. For instance, on the A page, an acrobat in piked position flies through the air forming the letter A. But look closely, and you'll find a wealth of other A objects in the surrounding black and white pencil artwork. Is that an archer shooting his arrow past an aquarium at an apple on the head of an astronaut carrying an alligator? And make sure to keep an eye on the little mouse at the bottom of each page who collects and builds the alphabet, letter by letter. Little ones will be entranced as they explore all the intriguing hidden pictures in each busy scene, filled with eye-catching detail, humor, and hours of fun. Perfect for youngsters as young as 3, Picture A Letter includes an answer key at the end, and is a dazzling, fun-filled, treasure you don't want to miss. The more you look, the more you'll find.
