A stirring spiritual testimony about a difficult subject
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 21 years ago
Collaboratively written by Doug Olson and Doris Neumann, Pick A God Any God is a stirring spiritual testimony about a difficult subject - that of widely diverse perspectives of God as interpreted among the world. Introducing the reader to a wide diversity of religious perspectives ranging from Mormonism, to Bahai, Zen, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, viewpoints on Lucifer, and more, Pick A God Any God is far more than simply a dispassionate survey of world faiths - it is reading that charges the reader with the importance of keeping a clear mind and heart in the quest for enlightenment, faith and understanding. Pick A God Any God is a very highly recommended addition to personal reading lists and Religious Studies reference collections.
A Challenge to all Faiths

This book reads easily, yet is intelligent and comfortably thought-provoking. It definitely challenges how anyone might interpret the concept of God, and offers some interesting insights without being too pushy. There is a little humor mixed in where appropriate, and even in some places that might not be deemed "politically correct" by some readers. If you're the type who tends to get wrapped up in discussions about God, or just spiritual sorts of stuff, this book gives a lot of "inside" info about how people around the world have defined God, or decided there is no God. It offers the kind of details that make you think, "Geez, I didn't realize that...", which is just the stuff that is fun to add to relative conversations. The concepts of reincarnation, karma, and even the Devil himself are all discussed with intelligent reasoning. The book is a good investment for anybody who is unsure of their own perception of God, and an even better investment for those who think they know everything about God.Also recommended: Mere Christianity by C.S.
