lots of color pictures of the mosiacs

This book is a guidebook to the city of Piazza Armeria and the Romana del Casale villa, nearby. The mosaics are explained. The emphasis is on the mosaics. There is an overview of the history of Piazza Armerina, with pictures, too. My copy was printed sometime after 1984, although there was not date in it. Rick Steves had this villa on his Sicily program, and if you want to know more about it, this book, or 'Piazza Amerina, The Mosiacs at Romana del Casale' (no author listed), are good choices. Very similar.
