A profound writer!

Philosophie Thinly Clothed is my favorite new book. Folsom has the ability and talent to create worlds that feel both familiar and foreign, safe and dangerous, welcome and forbidding. Her writing evokes both dream state, and the state between dreams and wakefulness. Each story is delicious in its originality and provocative imagery. As a new fan, I can't wait to see what she writes next.

AN EXCEPTIONAL BOOK OF SHORT STORIES

This book came highly recommended to me, and now I understand why. Profound yet funny. Dark yet compassionate. Engaging and provocative. I loved that the length of the stories were short and easy to read. But when I say easy to read, I don't mean simple. Each one is truly engaging. There are many layers to each story and I found myself reading a story or two each each night and then waking up to many new ideas about the story and my own life!! I even found myself enjoying the characters throughout the day and thinking about the metaphors that were inherent in each tale. I am excited because I think this Author is a budding new literary star and I can't wait to share this book with my family and friends. I'm very well read and five stars do not come easily from my personal rating system. Enjoy!!!

WOW!

This is an amazing book of short stories. They will make you think make you laugh at times and may even change you. All the characters are women but don't be fooled. The stories have a great deal to say to MEN too. The writing is very concentrated like a cup of strong espresso. I read a lot of nonfiction such as psychology, philosophy and spirituality. This book of stories is as thought provoking as anything I have read. Moreso because you enter worlds that are stripped down to basic emotions and ideas. I have read it twice so far. I plan to read it again and then go looking for another book by this author.
