Informative, entertaining, and personal this book has it all. Written clearly it lifts your spirit and makes you want to improve your health. Put it on your Holiday list to buy for ALL the people you LOVE. It is a book that will be treasured forever. But first buy it for yourself!!!

Personal Renewal is a book you will refer to again and again

In this book, Letha Hadady has taken a very complex and difficult topic and presented it in a simple accessible fashion. Through the changes she suggested, I have rid myself of chronic lower back pain and various digestive discomforts. My daughter is experiencing increased energy from following Ms. Hadady's advice relating to asthma. Personal Renewal is a book you will refer to again and again. It is a simple, straightforward guide to Asian diagnosis, diet and herbs. It makes an excellent companion to her previous book, "Asian Health Secrets", but can absolutely be understood and enjoyed on it's own.

I found the book full of important information, well put together. Easily to understand, I enjoyed how Letha made the book personalized for everyone. I have enjoyed Ms. Hadady classes and this book is like a personal consultation with her. The herbs in the book are easy to find and the chapters work well with each other. Women always need books like this in their home. I enjoyed it completely.

From the beginning, I felt that Letha was talking to me about my life and how to enrich my journey. So much if the material is both informative and entertaining in support of my well being. From preventing illness to promoting well being and vitality.,I felt Personal Renewal was the latest word on health promotion with centuries old secrets. Especially helpful is the list of places to buy the recommended herbs as well as websites to gather more helpful tips. Her anecdotal stories were unusually interesting and memorable. A necessary guide to anyone interested in achieving optimal well being.

Achieve a healthy body and mind with this unique book

I loved this book! It's not only beautifully written and beautiful to look at, but it contains a wealth of information about achieving a healthy body and mind through diet, visualizations, movements and herbal supplements. As someone who is already well-versed in the areas of herbs, holistic medicine, nutritional therapies and exercise, I still found this book extremely educational and enlightening. Mostly, however, I found it unique and refreshing. Hadady is undoubtedly an expert in her field--she is extremely knowledgeable and authoritative about Asian health practices and herbs. Hadady's writing style is simple and elegant...you feel as though she's right there with you, walking you through the guided visualizations. Her visualizations and movements, in partiucalr, are original and easy-to-follow. I've incorporated some into my day, and find they leave me feeling refreshed and energized. A big fan of her first book, Asian Health Secrets, this book expounds on her theory of Asian herbs and dietary therapies. She gives practical tips and "how-to" advice on finding the right supplements for various complaints. Plus, she helps you customize a healthier diet. She also provides tasty snack ideas and interesting "virutal trips" for dieters, which I really liked! Hadady also does a superb job at covering a variety of different conditons, such as carpal tunnel syndrom and hypertension. She give a complete outline of what to do to help prevent and/or treat these conditions. Overall, I think the greatest strength of this book is its ability to teach (through the guided visualizations and movements) the importance of slowing down in life, re-directing you energy and taking time for yourself.If you're looking to enhance your health, this is the book for you. I would highly recommend it.
