Personal Balance Sheet is a great way to process your career. I find it to be a great resource in my coaching practice. Indeed, this book does such a great job of helping people coach themselves through career/life transitions, it can act as an executive coach for anyone.

A resource whose value grows over time, January 31, 2008 By H. Khan (Toronto, Canada) - See all my reviews Eminently practical, with a primary focus on spurring action from the reader. Each section comes with exercises and actions needed from the reader to aid in the process of self-discovery. The first time I read the book, I promptly ignored the "doing" part and stuck to just reading. The Personal Balance sheet covers the majority of major life and career events an individual can face; I consequently found that after the first read I gained maximum value by actually doing the activities and focusing on the sections that dealt with career events more applicable to my present situation. That being said over the last months it has turned into a resource that I've pulled off the shelf more than once to repeat the process with other chapters. As a resource whose value grows over time, this is definitely a book where you'll get out of it what you put in. Well recommended.
