Better than any reality show

I am a great fan of reality television. I love watching genuine people face enormous obstacles and not only survive but to excell. I came across Perils of Paradise at the Honolulu airport bookstore while looking for a something to keep me company for the 5 hour trip back to LA. at the Honolulu Airport. (the movies suck on United, by the way). Wow. What a great book. I was totally taken in by the characters, their feats of survival and their determination to fight back when the odds were against survival. I found myself putting myself in each story and wondering, what would I do in that circumstance? Would I have to courage to stay focused on living? Would God give me the courage to survive? Do I have the will to fight back when adversity looks overwhelming. The stories in the book are amazing. They will keep you wondering about the human spririt and the will to survive that I guess is in each one of us. I loved the book. At one point, reading Leo's story, my palms broke out into a sweat. Amazing. This would make a great movie!

Wow! This book is extreamly exciting and gripping. I picked it up not knowing what to expect but I immediately became hooked. The adventure and description in this book is amazing. The stories are interesting and vivid. I especially like the one about a young man named Hugh Alexander who gets swept over a cliff into a sea cave and is battered against the rock. The vivid detail of his feelings is amazing. I would reccomend this book to anyone looking for something truely exciting. A fabulous read!
