Questioning your past, doubting your present and fearing your future are all part of being human, but, sometimes you can question, doubt and fear too far.
Jonah does all of this, far too often, getting lost in his desire to change his past, doubting himself nearly out of existence and finding himself crippled by his fears. But then, if no one can notice how much he's struggling, why would anyone offer him a hand, a leg up, maybe even just a shoulder to cry on? But no one can notice, because, to a struggling young gay man like Jonah, it's just possible that the most important thing to him is simply keeping his secrets safe. Keeping himself safe, safely hidden.
