Old but still the best

Although you have to know going in that the age of the book will mean many of the restaraunts will ahve closed, we still found this to be the only useful source of reviews.

Excellent book

I never planned on going to Cancun. I just recently planned a trip for 7 nights, 8 days. I used the book to find a hotel and am looking forward to using it during my trip to find places to eat, party, and visit! The book has lots of useful information. Not only did it list accomodations, bars, clubs, and some activities, it also gave useful information about Cancun. It told about transportation, medication to keep you healthy, how to keep from getting a hangover (helpful), different tequila's, etc. It's a must have!!

Better than the others by far

I have been travelling to Cancun for over 10 years and lived there for a year and half, before, during and after Hurricane Wilma, and I am delighted to have found this guide book. It differs from the others not only for its content - detailed and accurate reviews of restaurants, clubs and hotels - but also for its convenient size. The first section, as others have mentioned, offers helpful tips you just can't find in the other guidebooks on the market, and the rest of it contains real reviews of just about every establishment a traveller will come across. This one was written from the heart - I highly recommend this book for both the inexperienced AND the experienced Cancun traveller.

EXCELLENT- BETTER THAN THE OTEHRS!

This book is fabulous, I read the whole thing twice now, and my Mom read it once. She has never been to Cancun, and can't believe how she feels like she knows it there already. I have been going since 1990, and no other book gives as much information. The other books do NOT give anything on how to avoid a hangover, and there's a fantastic section regarding bribes. The wonderful author also lets people know all about tipping, yes, even in an all inclusive resort! This book lists about 500 establishements with post hurricane update status and many helpful tips. I promise you won't be sorry for ordering this wonderful book at a fantastic price!

The best Cancun travel book by far!!!!!!

I just got this book today and was blown away by how accurate and helpful it is. I travel to Cancun just about every month for pleasure and thought I knew everything there was to know about Cancun. This book is full of helpful up to date information with lots of post Wilma up dates and info that are totally new to me. It's so obvious the the author and his field correspondents actually went to each and every establishment prior to writing their review. I have been to many of them and can tell you that their reviews are right on the money. This book is worth far more than the $13.95 selling price as I believe it is the only book out there that has the post Wilma updates. It's informative and easy to use and should be a must for not only first time Cancun vacationers but also veterans like myself. I even bought one as a gift to give to someone who lives in Cancun. Buy it...you won't be sorry you did.
