Deceptive marketing

The cover and first two pages were very clever. The rest of the book was filled with cliched anecdotes about life in the 'burbs. Some of them reminded me of stories I wrote in grade school, except they were filled with s--- and f---. (As a budding 8-year-old author, I knew that bad words were no substitution for good writing. As a senior scribbler, I know that relying on excessive profanity is just plain lazy and wears thin d--- fast.) This collection of mini-stories resembles a one-season sit-com about those bumbling relatives and whacky neighbors. Cue the laugh track. Several of the author's "experiences" made no sense at all.
