Well Thought Out, Historically Grounded, Biblically Based

Dr. Land has a well-reasoned history and thesis for a mature and Biblically sound pentecostal spirituality. He boldly declares that the beginnings of the modern pentecostal movement offers the standard to which Pentecostals must return in order to live out an effective and God honoring faith experience and expression. Excellent book (even if a bit overly Wesleyan/Church of God Cleveland, TN oriented -- of which he is). I even discovered that the Assemblies of God (of which I am a minister) is a more "baptistic" movement (believing in only a two-fold work of grace: salvation/sanctification and baptism in the Holy Spirit)...as opposed to CoG or CoGiC which hold to the three-works model. Very enlightening. I would highly recommend this book to any Pentecostal/Charismatic that is looking to establish their faith experience as well-reasoned.
