Popular Bertie from Dirty Bertie is back and has everyone passing gas (and laughs). Bertie likes to make smells, and everyone in his family keeps chastising him. Full color." This description may be from another edition of this product.
My five year old grandson adores this book! It is such a nice sound to hear him laugh as the book is being read to him and the reader laughs also! I highly recommend this book!
My little cousin was giggling when he read this book!

This is an extremely funny book and my dear cousin loves it! It is a great book to kickstart an interest in reading, especially in children who do not like to read books. I wish I had such wacky and funny books when I was a kid!
Farts are funny.

Some people pale when someone says "fart," but we all fart. Farts are a fact of life. And while farts might not be the stuff of great literature, they are the stuff of belly laughts. I have several fart books on my shelves and "...Bertie" is one of the best. If you wanna read about the Big Bang of farts, try "It All Began With a Bean," which tells the tall tale of when everyone and everything farted at once.
Just for fun...

Some books are meant to impart a moral lesson and some books are meant to educate while other books are meant to just be fun... this is one of those fun books. Together with my 5 year old niece, we first found this book in the gift shop of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and she nearly fell on the floor laughing. Bertie is the sort of kid that every child knows is naughty and it's silly, potty humor that children find hysterical. No, this book will not teach a child that flatuence can be anti-social nor will it teach them how it happens, what this book does promote is that reading is fun and that there are silly stories to be read for the sheer pleasure of reading and enjoying a silly joke.
GREAT BOOK FOR A GREAT LAUGH WITH THE KIDS!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
I've always been the type to try to find toys or books with some kind of educational value or lessons behind them, but for once, I decided to buy a few books just for the fun of it to have a good belly laugh with my kids. They already know about having manners because I instill it in them with everything they do. I constantly remind them to say please, thank you, and excuse me all day long as well as what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior! But I also think it's important to just get silly with them sometimes as long as they know where to draw the line. Well, I haven't given them this book yet, it's for Christmas but I have reviewed it and I was laughing so hard I was near tears! I found it to be hilarious and I look forward to reading it with them ... (ages 3 1/2 and 5). TRUST ME, IF YOU HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR, YOU'LL LIKE THIS BOOK AND NO DOUBT THE KIDS WILL LOVE IT! I liked it so much that I took the time to write this review ...It's my first!
