This best-selling book uses an algorithmic approach to the diagnosis and management of common clinical problems encountered in pediatric practice. It is organized on a body-systems model, and includes several sections dealing with nonsystemic or multisystemic disorders, such as behavioral problems, trauma, and poisonings. Time For an Update

This book is very well organized and I've found it quite useful. I wonder, though, how much longer such a book will be useful or necessary in the age of the Internet. By their very nature, medical books are outdated almost at the time they're published. This book is now more than 5 years behind. The next edition needs to be soon and it needs to include access to or be replaced by a website that is updated frequently.

An Excellent, Useful Publication

This book allows the student, resident, pediatrician and family practitioner to review the most frequent clinical pathologies in an easy to follow schematic fashion. The flow chart design allows the reader review diagnostic and therapeutic options without a lot of superflous information. It's a great study tool as well as a reference guide.
