My 8 yr. old grandson loves the Alex series. We read them together when I stay with him. I read a paragraph and then he reads one. They all have a christian moral to the story. He goes to a private christian school and that is where he was first introduced to these books. He loved them so much that he wanted his own. He even enjoys reading them more than once.

I thought that it was a good book because it was about a Christian girl. She spent her lunch money at a carnival when her mother told her not to. The book is mostly about Alex at home and school and everything else in a 10 year old's life. This was a really easy book to read. The book is only 115 pages long.
I never forgot this book

I read these books when I was in elementary school and when I started tutoring in high school I gave them away. Now, after college, I'm as the outreach coordinator at my church I'm starting book clubs for the summer and I automatically thought of how great these books would be for the kids in our neighborhood. These books are great. They get kids thinking and offer nearly obsolete values that can rarely be gleaned from tv or other books
