Toji has proposed to Momo that they get back together, now that Kiley has gone off to find himself and is seemingly ignoring Momo's attempts to connect with him. What Momo doesn't know is that Kiley was living and working in a Soba noodle restaurant with an older couple who really enjoy helping him out, so now that he has serious pneumonia they have taken him to the hospital... where he is currently lying on his deathbed. And the only girl on his mind is Momo. An overheard conversation between Sae and Toji has brought to light the fact that Toji has had strong feelings for her since their breakup a year prior, and Momo's heart is starting to ache for him the same way it used to... Even though she can't quite give up on Kiley. The only thing that keeps Momo going is a trip that she and Kiley planned to take together at the end of the summer... a special trip where Momo planned on giving herself to him. Well, the agreement was if he was late she would go on without him... and when an incident with his brother lands Ryo in the hospital Kiley gives up his first priority to be with him...much to Momo's discontent. She goes off to the beach by herself, and is surprised to discover that she is not quite alone...in fact that Toji has followed her to the resort to make sure she is ok...but now a hurricane has come and Toji can't go home because of it...and neither can Kiley come to her... but someone shares Momo's bed that night. Hmmm... I don't know if I quite like Toji taking advantage of Momo when she's vulnerable...even if they had a history together. Her reaching out for him was obviously a move of loneliness, and I think he's selfish for reciprocating her feelings, even though his are just as strong...and poor Kiley... just when he discovers his true feelings he sees Toji and Momo together at the resort... true, he was the one who put their relationship on hold, but Kiley has always been more of a sympathetic character to me, so it's hard for me to see him in pain. Toji, on the other hand... I like him, but he mistreated Momo so often that I can't agree with him being the one who has won her...even if she does seem uncertain. The good news is that this series is still addictive and still wonderful. Shojo fans, this is a must read.
Peach Girl Change of Heart, Vol. 7

Peach Girl Change of Heart Volume Seven (7) has a really excellent plot, and is exquisitly drawn. The author, Miwa Ueda, is very very talented. I cried when I read it. However, it is pretty mature. Also, You cannot read it alone, you must also read Peach Girl Change of Heart Books 1-6, too. (You also may want to read the first 8 Peach Girl books.) I loved this book, because I have been following the adventures of Momo, Kiley, Sae and Toji throughout book 1. As I said, this book has a great plot, and no manga fan will want to miss this. This book is, in my opinion, one the most excellent teen romance series ever. It would be a great addition to anyone's collection, manga fan or no.
