Voyager Fans, This Is The One.....

This is the best Voyager book that you could own! This book started really fast, with the senoir officers (except Janeway, who was taking Voyager to talk to some aliens) being sent down to an uninhabited planet to collect food, and just get away from the ship. Voyager was going to come pick them up later. Anyway, when they first stepped out of their shuttles' the air seemed to be poisoned and everyone fell into unconsciosness. Yes, even Tuvok. Then the aliens (The planet was inhabited after all) took them to a prisoner-war camp, where they slowly were starving to death. At night they decided to tell their life stories. **************************************** Chakotay: His story began at the years of his late childhood, when he was fifteen. He disagreed with his father and tribe traditions, so he decided to go to Starfleet Academy. After the first year he decided that that was not what he wanted to do. So he went home and told his parents this. Everyone in the tribe was excited and they a feast, and his mom tried to get him hooked up with a girl named Philicia, but obviously that didn't work. So then he went back to Starfleet and graduated (after three years, of course). Then when his home planet in the demiliterazation zone was destroyed he joined the Maquis and the rest is history. ************************* Harry went next, He told how he was not accepted into Starfleet Academy the first time but then he tried again and was not accepted. (For more interesting information, Boothby told Harry that "Johnny Picard" hadn't made it in to the Academy the first time either.) Then Harry told about how one instructor had given him no end of pain, and how he fell in love with Libby Latimore, who was his fiance before he left, (I hope she still is.) And that about sums up Mr. Harry Kim. ************************************ B'Elanna then told her story. She told about how all the children had whispered about her when she was younger and how when she was a teenager she had made a frien by flipping him onto his back. She dropped out of Starfleet Academy after about three or four months. Then she told about how she had come to join the Maquis and how she had been infatuated with Chakotay, practically smitten. And then she met Tom, and hated his guts, and the they got lost and you know what happens.**************************** Tom Paris, the High and Mighty Helmsman: His story was about how he'd had a lot of disagreements with Admiral Paris (His daddy) and about the situation with his three firends. If you've seen Caretaker and are confused about what it is that Tom did, that was so bad, you know, in detail? This book explains it great. Although it's sad. Then about how he'd met with Chakotay and joined the Maquis but then when sent on a missin had to abort, and leave Chakotay and company wondering where he'd gone. Then he turner himself in, about what happened with his 3 friends and then when the noble, courageous Kathry

Great backgrounds established for each Voyager character

I haven't read Mosaic, which is this book's predecessor, but after reading this book, I want to. This book has well established backgrounds for each main character on Voyager. My personal favorite is Paris' and Tuvok's. Jeri Taylor has a very well written book on her hands.

Pathways By Jeri Ryan (Not a Very Orignal Title? Huh?)

I read the book Pathways by Jeri Taylor and it was absolutely terrific. Pathways does not start out slow like some books, it jumps head first into the action. Chakoty,Tuvoc,Tom,Neelix,Seven,B'elana,Harry, and Kes are seprarated from Voyager, and are imprisoned in a disese ridden internment camp. That is run by a hostile race of aliens. but the true chalenge is to get out of this awful situtation alive. To pass the time while they are in a shaby patched together tent, they each in turn tell the story of their life before comming to Voyager. This book like Imzadi tells the unknown story behind each of the charcter's lives and gives new insite into the dynamics of each of the charcters. And it also explains the reasons behind some of their little personaity quarks, that you just could never figure out watching the show. This book is not only written well it is technicaly accurate in part because it is written by the Co-Creator of the series.I loved it and I STRONGLY recomend it to anybody that is a fan of any of the Star Trek series. But, you(HaHaHa)don't have to take my word for it.

The Best Star Trek Book

I think that this book gives a very interesting insite into who the characters really are. This was one of the best books that I have read in my whole life. If you are interested in knowing more about the Voyager characters this book is for you. I thought that it was really nice to tell Kes's story in the book even though she isn't on the ship anymore. I would like to know what she evlved int though. All of the stories were very touching. The plot is that some of the crew get trapped and to pass the time every night one person tells the story of their life.
