Excellent paranormal/medical thriller!

I am just discovering Ken McClure, and have added his name to my list of authors to follow - This is not one of his Steven Dunbar medical thrillers, but a stand alone. A reknown surgeon, Dr. John MacAndrew, at the Medical Center in Kansas City, has perfomed an operation on a young lady who has a brain tumor - The surgery is done by the book, but when she wakes from the anesthesia, she is not herself...she seems to be a young girl from Moscow...Moscow?? Her husband in beside himself, and has some thugs beat Mac up - As Mac is recovering from his own surgery, he finds there has been research into same tumor removal transformations - their former selves are gone and they either are someone else mentally, or do not speak their native language... Mac travels to his ancestral country of Scotland and he makes several discoveries - he finds Moscow - Scotland...and goes into an ancient house to where the little girl said she had hidden her doll, and he finds it! Also, there is a scientist that has done extensive groundbreaking research for this condition...maybe able to restore patients to their present lives... The only problem - the little girl lived centuries ago! What's going on? It seems that former priest is doing his own 'research' - on Israeli natives - he is trying to find out about Jesus.....and to unearth the true story of that time...he doesn't care who is lost to his experimentation, or anyone in his way... This is an exciting novel that blends in the possibility of past lives, medical thrills, romance, (with a beautiful French scientist), and enough cliffhangers to leave you breathless! I'd say this is like Crichton at his best - only a little more consistant - Good story, good characters, good action, good resolution. A book worth reading.

A thrilling thriller!

This is another blockbuster from the pen of Ken McClure. The books main character is a neurosurgeon called Andrew Macandrew and is not a Steven Dunbar story. The story takes our hero from America to Scotland and on to Europe. Hypnotic regression is a fasinating subject and this is certainly a page turner. I beleive this book was written some years ago and is another example of Ken McClure's forward thinking. Dan Brown should be enternally grateful that it was not published earlier as this beats the DiVinci Code hands down.
