Sara Stockton, Taylor Jenkins, and James Edwards have been best friends since pre-school. Their strong bond earned them the nickname of the Three Musketeers.
When Taylor turned fourteen and announced she was gay, James and Sara stood by her. When James and Sara began dating, Taylor hid her love for Sara and moved on with her life. Now, fourteen years later, Sara and James are about to be married and Taylor is trying to deal with the...
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Megan Carter's "Passionate Kisses". The story of 3 best friends, and the secret love one has for the other is timeless. Megan takes a well used subject and adds to it humour, a little bit of adventure, and some unlikely characters to give you a must read story. For me Sarah and Taylor were the main characters, but Mandy and Arcy took the spotlight. Oh, and the Moon character cracked me up; we had a similar neighbor.
Loved this book!

This was my 1st Megan Carter book but based on this story, I'd definitely read something else by her. Very sweet romantic story that I have read twice in the 3 days I've had it! Well-written and likable characters, the book also has a good sub-plot concerning an older lesbian couple and their Texas ranch. The best part though was watching Sara realize who her true love really is (some yummy sex scenes!!). Wish the story had never ended!

Sara, James, and Taylor sitting in a tree. Who's kissing who? Sara and James are getting married and Taylor's been their friends since they were young. Sara and James were still her friends when she came out at 14. The wedding plans are not going well. When Taylor shows up sparks start flying and reality sinks in for all parties. Get all dressed up and join the wedding party for an interesting time. You'll enjoy this one.
Great Comeback...

I loved Carter's first book, but didn't care too much for her second book. This one is a great comeback for a talented author. Carter plays on the old adage "birds of a feather flock together" as she follows the lives of three close childhood friends into adulthood. The three friends are: Taylor, a woman who announced to the world she was gay at the tender age of 14. James, an aspiring politician who is engaged to Sara. Sara, who feels no passion for James. James and Sara call the wedding off afther they both discover new aspects of themselves throughout the telling of this masterful tale. Taylor is finally able to live her childhood dream. The only "unreal" part of this story is how James' and Sara's families react to the news. It's almost as though their families are comatose or heavily sedated, not "normal" (whatever that is). I'm now looking forward to Carter's next book. She's one writer you shouldn't miss.
Megan Carter's Passionate Kisses

Megan Carter's latest is another great read by a polished writer. She brings her three main characters to life, making them seem like people we have known. The growing love, the confusion of awakening desires, and the final passionate kisses keep us reading. I was still reading at 3 a.m., and not regretting it one bit.
