A great resource for teachers

A great book which encourages teachers who want to know more about their teaching and who want to know more about their students' learning to start observing what is going on in the classroom and as a result become more student-oriented teachers. The first part of a book is a memoir,in which she talks about her personal career in a metaphorical way. I like the second part better, which contains essays on reading, writing and researching. Her essays on teacher research are extremely valuable and will help me a lot in becoming a teacher researcher myself.
