Parents in Training

I been looking forward to reading this book and this series of Unexpectedly Expecting. And I enjoy the characters and their story they are telling me too.

Enjoyable...

Annalise and Dominic never intended to have children. Their five years of marriage have been spent focusing on their similar interests and enjoying one another. How can a baby fit into their lives? And what will they both do when Dominic's dark past threatens to overshadow all that they have shared together? Pregnancy for a previously childless couple can be a scary thing but it's got to be even more frightening to a couple that hadn't planned on kids! Annalise and Dominic have a very immature marriage, one in which their similarities haven't allowed them to see their differences. Watching the two of them learn to see each other with new eyes, maturing eyes, is quite enjoyable. Annalise is impulsive. Her job as a high end real estate agent leads to her purchase of a home after Dominic reacts quite poorly to the news of the pregnancy, even saying the marriage may be over. In fact, Annalise actually believes Dominic will love the house since their tastes have always been so similar and she's handled all their decorating in the past. Meanwhile, Dominic has some very dark secrets in his past, secrets that are quite devastating to Annalise and frankly should have been shared before their marriage. Both make some rather serious mistakes in their relationship along the way. While both characters have some growth needed, PARENTS IN TRAINING is really more about the hero's growth. Dominic's past has overshadowed every thought he's ever had about children and he has to face this in order to move forward in life. This doesn't mean that everything goes just as Annalise wants it to, however, as this book is all about the growth of their marriage as well. Great story and a lot of subtle nuances to the story that make it interesting. COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES
