Jacob experiences an unfortunate car accident that lands him in the hospital with several injuries. His road to recovery is tough, but his unapologetic banter with the cute hunk of a nurse helps his time pass. The banter inevitably grows into something more and he learns to express his love for his new boyfriend Nathaniel.

He finds himself lying to his parents about his injuries for what he believes is for their own good until their return from their holiday. Her determination to experience pregnancy without raising the baby forces Jacob and Nathaniel to decide whether or not they want to fast forward their relationship, unsure of if the strain would end their new relationship.
