Great supplement for Enneagram

This book expands awareness of Enneagram and how it can be a tool for spiritual growth.

Confirming the truth of the Enneagram in Holy Scriptures.

I have "coached" people to discover the truth of the Enneagram for many years. I discovered Thomson's book recently and introduced it to a class studying the enneagram. Thomson's book helped all of us to find the truth of the enneagram in our lives. To discover where we "fit" in the enneagram is one thing but Parables and the Enneagram enabled each of us to Intuitively confirm the spiritual value of the enneagram. This is important to a group of Lutherans, venturing into a spiritual journey. Thomson's use of the parables and their application to the different faces of the enneagram helps Christians who have been afraid to accept the enneagram because of it's cloudy beginning and some recent criticism by Catholic theologians.

Understanding Parables through the Enneagram

Clarence Thomson, author of this book, has explained parables in a way never explained to me before. I always thought it was strange that the shepherd would leave his sheep to predators while he goes off to fetch the one sheep who had strayed. Mr. Thomson is right. I would not want that shepherd to be in charge of my child's day care center. This is typical of the way Mr. Thomson explains parables throughout his interesting book. It makes the parables of the Bible become much more meaningful to me. It is written in simple language that I can understand and is not repetitive, which is a mistake many authors make. I took Mr. Thomson's test on the Internet, which told me I was a 7. I sent an e-mail to Mr. Thomson saying that I was more inclined to be 9, and, unbelievably, Mr. Thomson himself answered my e-mail. He told me that he is a 7 also and suggested that I take his free test on the Internet, which I have not done as yet. The book is an interesting study book, but I did not want to read it through at one sitting. I want to absorb what I am reading and relate the numbers to family and friends so that I can understand their actions.
