The apple doesnt fall far from the tree does it??

Like father like son. People need to realize that we can either become a product of our environment or rise above it. Nigel did his time and is now desperately trying to change but the streets seems to keep calling him. the worst part is that his son is traveling in his footsteps. Will Nigel be able to save himself and his son from a life that ulitimately leads to his downfall..... read on. This is the truth... at least where I come from it is. Good read.. read it in 1 day!!!

I loved this book - Long is an excellent writer. The characters were real and I had a hard time putting Papa Don't Preach down.

Papa don't preach is a book loaded with subliminal messages that are made plain. In life we are our children's model, whether we like it or not. They are watching us, even when we don't think they are....and they are quietly storing things away...until one day the very things we did as parents come back to haunt as we watch out children...copy out actions. So it is very important that we sow the correct seed for our kids... This book also brings home the message that some people can change. It also drives home the fact that you have to be careful who prays for you and to you..... This books depicts the fact that that the love of drugs, fast money, and disrespect can only do one thing...lend to destruction. I actually rated this book 3.5

GREAT BOOK

THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME, I READ IT IN A DAY. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK WITH FIVE STARS PLUS!!!

Couldn't Put the Book Down!!

The book is a very fast read. Nigel Hawkins lived a life of crime, then went to jail, & turned his life around only to come out and find out his son is following in his footsteps. Can he stop his son before he ends up like him or will he relapse and revert back to his old ways? I will definately buy more books from Thomas Long.
