Fun & Engaging!

It took me a couple chapters to really get into the story, but then I couldn't put it down. A fun read, with a smart, resourceful heroine, a sexy hero, lots of laughs and a hot romance. Some unexpected, interesting plot twists surprised me and kept me reading to find out what would happen next. I just ordered Ms. Stenzel's other books and can't wait for them to arrive!

B+, Because It Has a Puca!

I'm typically a sucker for a highlander or celt that can time travel to the future. This one has a modern day girl who inherits a puca which is cursed by a Druid for bedding his daughter a millenia ago. The protagonist, Mina, has had this puca in their family for generations being passed from one old maid to the next (or oldest unmarried woman in the family). Anyhow, the Puca says that he needs her to help him break his curse in order to leave his cursed life. Anyhow, throw in a kooky new age-y mom, a druid biological father who disavows her, and her hot general contractor and it's not a bad book. It is light reading and it's fun. Sometimes, romance novels that try to come off fun, come off lame & cheesey. This one doesn't. It actually comes off fun. Fun enough that I'll read more from this author.

Pandora's Box ROCKS!!

Pandemina, Mina, has lost everything. Her live-in boyfriend, her job, and she's about to lose her house. She thinks things may be looking up when she finds about about an inheritance...but instead of a windfall of money she gets a rock that contains...a Puca. Her life becomes chaos the moment Riordan Goodfellow starts talking in her head, and it gets worse when the shapeshifter appears in person. Lighthearted fun ensues all over the place. There's comedy, heart-warming moments....and of course a truly unexpected romance. Natale Stenzel's first single title book was a blast to read. Can't wait for the follow-up...The Druid Made Me Do It. PS. For Harlequin readers, you might remember her as Natalie Stenzel. She wrote for Flipsides and that characteristic humor shines through here!

Laughter and Sighs

I so enjoyed reading this book! It's got everything, from frantic and funny to warm and touching and tastefully sexy besides. Not to mention really delightful confusion over who the hero actually is, a few complete surprises (how often does that happen?), and it all makes sense by the end. A great read.

lighthearted romantic fantasy

Pandemina "Mina" Avery dreamed of a loving family, but instead had a cheating boyfriend; soon after that relationship ended, she lost her job. Life seems to be going down the toilet bowl with her only asset being a rock box she just inherited from an unknown relative. However Mina thought her world has been rocked before; she finds out those were minor nuisances when she tries to open her rock box. Inadvertently, she liberates Puca shapeshifter Robert "Riordan" Goodfellow, who was incarcerated for what he did to a druid's daughter. Too late Mina knows now that she is the latest sentinel of the rock box. As she struggles to fully free Riordan who drives her crazy whether he seems human, a steed or a mutt, builder Jonathan Teague is attracted to Mina. This lighthearted romantic fantasy will have readers laughing out loud with the antics of Riordan, the asides of a frustrated Mina, and the good intentions of a bewildered Jonathan. Few triangles have been so much fun to follow and her ratty ex wants a second chance. Sub-genre fans will relish PANDORA'S BOX as Mina ponders what happened to her simplistic wonderful life.
