The germination of this book came about after a summer visit in Lincoln, Montana on a drive back from Helena in the backseat of my Dad's pick-up truck with my two nephews who just wanted to hit each other. I started telling them a story that involved resolving a problem and conflict with food and creativity. Before I knew it, they had calmed down and were listening to the web I was weaving. This is the first children's book in a series highlighting Indigenous children.
