I have purchased many different palmistry books and this one ranks very high with me, especially for beginners. The photos are of actual palms, allowing the author to do more than describe or use line drawings to show the characteristics of the major lines. The photgraphs also makes it easier to find similiar characteristics on other real hands (including your own!). The fingerprint section also uses ink fingerprints, which makes identification so much easier! I highly recommend this book for every beginner, though you might want to supplement it with a more in-depth book after you learn to recognize the basic characteristics found on a palm. However, as your knowledge of palmistry grows, the photographs in this book can still be used to test your skill.

This book was wonderful. It was sooo much nicer than the self help books I have purchased in the past. The fact that an acetate sheet was included, so you can draw your palm lines and can compare those lines to ACTUAL photographs of real palms, is a real plus for this book. The photographs of the plams are easy to see and read the palm lines, and the corresponding text is close to the pictures, for quick reference. All of the concepts/definations, are written in easy to understand language. There is a section of reduced size palms, under specific headings, ie, life line, head line, heart line, etc., that then refer the reader to the larger size palm photos that include the interpretations of the lines, mounds, and other palm markings. I practiced reading my palm lines with this book, and then went to have my palm read, by a professional, and I was plesantly amazed at how close I had read both my dominate hand (the one I write with) and my passive hand (the other hand), as compared to the palm reader. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about themselves and others through the secrets held in the palm of your hand.
