Scott Perdue has put together an absolutely gripping thriller that is highly realistic. His grasp of the big picture and the details of modern Air Force warfare is superb, as it should be given his background, and he communicates it well in the context of a story with characters that we care about. I enjoyed it immensely and read it every spare moment that I had available.
Quite a page-turner!

If you have an interest in military aviation, national security, or action and adventure, I think you'll find that this book is a great read. The pace accelerates as you near the conclusion, so when you get to the last few chapters, my suggestion is that you set aside a block of uninterrupted time to finish it. (I was pretty annoyed when I got interrupted during the best parts!) The military has a huge number of acronyms, and Scott Perdue has included a helpful glossary and a FAQ on his website to help those of us who want to know what it all means. After reading about the coordination of military services and forces, I appreciate even more fully how complex the modern battleground is.
Can't put it down!

Wow!! This book is great! I couldn't put it down. Scott Perdue has a terrific talent for making military and intelligence operations understandable, exciting and thrilling. You'll love the way his characters give the Afghanistan Taliban what they deserve-death and destruction. How much is fact and how much is fiction? A must read.
