Good Beginner Book

This book is great for beginners in the ways of pagan religions. It is very comprehensive and packed full of basic information. I, personally would have preferred to see more information of myths and legends. However, overall, this is a great book that I would recommend to anyone just starting down the path of paganism.

Simple Simple Simple

This book should not to be used to find out the wheres and whys of magick, this book is a darn good finding out the who we are in the path! It touches some basic concepts of how we use our tools and groups and what the things are that mean something to us witches. My most treasured part of reading this book was that I felt so much respect for my path when I was finished reading it. Ohhh I have read the damnation and all the pain and suffering that those on this path had to carry, but this book made me feel part of a bigger something and with it's very light touch in the history of how we (the pagans) became where we are! Many Blessings and may you find the path for you that will help you touch your soul with love and reverance.

What a nice little book!

I'm so happy I bought this book. I was initially attracted by the cover, which is quite beautiful. Actually, the cover sums up the book nicely, in a way -- the author places a lot of emphasis on nature, which is of course what paganism is all about. This book is a WONDERFUL introduction to modern paganism. It is what I would call a "non-denominational" approach. Since I am Wiccan I don't know if non-Wiccans will like it, but it seems like it should appeal to a broad audience, especially newcomers who want to learn about paganism in a general way without having to worry about whether they should study a particular path. Finally, someone has written a book as good as Cunningham's "Wicca," but with its own style and purpose -- in other words, you don't feel like you're buying "Wicca" all over again. I even like Gwydion O'Hara's chapter on the history of paganism. Most books are annoyingly revisionist but this one's history is pretty good. But the book is mostly devoted to teaching you the all the basics. Again, there's a lot of emphasis on nature and he explains everything thoroughly but simply. It's easy reading, but deep. I love the exercises he gives at the end of each chapter. An EXCELLENT introduction for beginners and seekers (and of course everyone else, too).

Great start for beginning your journey

I found this book to be an inspiration as well as an educational resource. PAGAN WAYS touches on many aspects of the pagan religion and offers a non confrontational view into the life and ritual of the pagan. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about the pagan religion.

An excellent overviev of pagan history

This book literally changed my life. My previous Catholic brainwashing was wearing off and I was looking for a new path. I found this book andsince then I've become a better person following a peaceful path. The author doesn't try to convince her readers to become Pagan, but rather shows bolth sides of the coin.
