Owner's Guide to Sewing Machines, Sergers, and Knitting Machines
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
This is one book I think no owner of a sewing machine, serger, or knitting machine should be without. Gale Grigg Hazen is amazing. She writes simply, but covers little things your machine manuals will never tell you. She explains things about threads and needles, machine oil, etc. that will make a difference in how long your machine will live, and how well it will live, as well as how often you are going to need to take it in to be cleaned and adjusted. So many things were made so simple that before had seemed intimidating, such as adjusting the bobbin holder. I actually put my own old machine manual, which is virtually worthless, away, and use this book exclusively now, and I have definitely not regretted it.
