Preston Price and his wife, Janelle, have the perfect marriage which includes two beautiful children. Preston works hard in the music industry, finding new talent, and producing their sounds for the world to enjoy. He makes plenty of money but it is hard work and long hours. Janelle enjoys those benefits until she accuses Preston of infidelity. Preston is too outdone because he has been faithful for the entire nine years of the marriage. He is angry, to say the least. Unwilling to hear anything Preston has to say, Janelle snatches the children and heads for her mother's home. Preston isn't having that and he begins to plot revenge, even kidnapping his own children. The Price world unravels as the two brawl and the children become the focal point. Both are insistent upon having the children even though they no longer want each other. Things rapidly spiral out of control as they exact revenge upon each other. Who will be the winner in this life and death battle over custody? OVER YOUR DEAD BODY by David L. is a frightening, tense, surrealistic account of two borderline crazy people battling over their precious children. The plot is well formulated, the tension never ceases and just when you know it can't get any worse, it does. I found myself having intense sympathy with Preston, yet wishing that he would get help before it was too late. Janelle was presented as the perfect monster, very reminiscent of people we might have once known and didn't like. Once you start reading this book, you can't stop. Excellent Read!

Non stop action and full of suspense. The author David L demonstrated an uncanny ability of bringing out emotions from his characters and each page is full of cliff hangers which makes you not want to stop reading and instead, go on to the next chapter. Very hard to put down this book once I finally picked it up and started reading. Don't take too long to put out the sequel...PLEASE!!

Top 5 Book Of The Year

From the introduction of the book, David L. captivated me and kept my interest alive by bringing each character to life. His awesome display of realism and dialogue made me go through the entire book in one night and almost caused me to oversleep for my job the next morning! Each chapter was an elaborate breakdown of the spiraling decline of Preston and Janelle's marriage and with each chapter, the suspense built up to a climactic plateau. Additionally, the supporting characters (Skip, Shontell, Uncle Cliff, etc.) were bought to life by David L.'s creativity and never-ending imagination. Although the chapters were longer than your average novel, David L. made up for this with sheer action and innovative wordplay. The ending of the book caught me totally by surprise and I was devastated by the death of one of my favorite supporting characters. Originally from NYC, I thought David L. gave the perfect impression of what New York looks like through the eyes of someone who has lived there their entire life. Even the overall topic and situational events were accounted for as if he experienced them first hand. Marriage and divorce are serious topics and this author used his vision to bring it some justice. There are subliminal messages throughout, so read carefully! This book was made to be on the Lifetime channel and I look forward to the day that it hits the big screen. David L. hit a home run with his present novel and if there is a sequel, I am sure he will be looking forward to batting his way to an eventual grand slam!

Over Your Dead Body is a excellent read whether you are into urban fiction or you are just into fiction book. The author made sure that the characters were well developed. This book is definite a great read. Over Your Dead Body has all the right elements to make it a best selling novel it has a lil bit of street with just the right amount mystery, drama, and thriller. I love this book for so many reasons. The main reason why I reccomend this book is because it can be enjoyed by both adults
