I currently work for a plastic surgeon and was looking for a source of information to enhance my knowledge of plastic surgery, including pre and post care. I just have to say WOW!!!!! I appreciated how very informative and detailed the book was without being overwhelming. I did not need a doctorate to understand it!!!I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about plastic surgery, male or female, work related or personal.

This book is just what I was looking for. As a 40 something woman who is contemplating plastic surgery I was able to learn so much from "Outsmarting Mother Nature." Dr. Sweis successfully explains each procedure in language that is easy to understand. I love how each procedure is covered in great detail in a question and answer format in language that is easy to understand. The book also addresses my concerns about the emotional decision to go "under the knife." It somehow took away the stigma of plastic surgery and made me realize its okay to want to look and feel my best. I know I will keep this book on my nightstand and refer to it often as I consider my options for plastic surgery. Thank you Dr. Sweis for making this process so much easier.
Mandatory reading for patients!

Dr Sweiss has done a fantastic job putting together all the information needed by patients considering cosmetic surgery. The book is nicely organized by body areas and procedures, making it easy to find information on any operation. The chapters are written in clear, concise language and are easy to understand. The information in each chapter is comprehensive and should be mandatory reading for anyone considering cosmetic surgery: it explains step by step what to expect before, during and after surgery and gives patients usefull, unbiased information in preparation for surgery. This book is a must-read for anyone considering cosmetic surgery. I highly recommend it for patients as well as for surgeons who would like to loan it to their patients or put it in their office waiting area. I'd caution the poorly trained, impostor plastic surgeons against buying it or having their patients read it, since the book has a long chapter that educates patients on how to find a properly trained plastic surgeon.
