Small Places Not Small Minds

This short story collection is very readable. All 15 of the fiction writers seem on their way towards bigger things. Tammy Armstrong was just nominated for a Governor General's Award for poetry in Canada and her story here is an excellent indication of what other good things might emerge from her pen. Joanne Jefferson's story crosses generational differences. Melanie Little's story examines the morbid and hilarious elements of growing up in an isolated community of harsh climate.A very "Canadian" fiction collection, worth checking out. Lyrical and down-to-earth at the same time.
