This is Greg Perry at his best. The book is well written, well structured and will have the novice writing good programs in no time. Having never programmed before I was able to write a few involved programs after reading only 2/3 of the book. This book is a must if you are a beginner wanting to leanr programming. It is the easiest language, and the one that everyone should start with. This book explains everything you need to know very well and easy to understand. A great buy.

This book explains the code

A lot of Qbasic books cover a lot of program structure and demonstrate that structure without first explaining the code thats in them. Qbasic by Example focuses on teaching you the code. All exhamples are simple and easy to follow. You can jump to any chapter and learn a command or keyword that you need without being lost. This is an excellent book. I use it as a reference manual.
