Book Overview

One thing I can say with certainty is that I have not had a dull life. I have been shot twice, stabbed, blown up, bitten by a rattlesnake and by a scorpion, plus had numerous car and motorcycle accidents...I've even been married twice. Here is the true-life story of Richard ""Deadeye"" Hayes in all its bad-ass, balls-to-the-wall glory. This is a man who stole a machine gun before he was seven and lost his left eye when a good friend shot him in the...

Thank you from the Muddy Pages Book Club!

I really enjoyed reading Deadeye's book. As I read it I felt like I was sitting next to him in a bar listening to him tell stories. There were parts of it that made me laugh out loud and there were parts that made me think that this guy is insane. He has definitely lead an interesting life. My book club was lucky enough to meet him. By talking to him in person you would never guess that he has done so many "bad" things. I am looking forward to his next book.

A Real Hoot of a Memoir

I'm not a biker, but one doesn't have to ride to get a rush from this witty and warm memoir. The author is a real character, and his personality is clearly in his pen as he recalls a life that is colorful, hard as the road he's traveled, and full of fireworks. Compared to Mr. Hayes's experiences, my own life barely makes it to pastel.

I read this memoir at full throttle

Surely Dead Eye Hayes has defied all actuarial tables to live long enough to write Outlaw Biker. I read this memoir at full throttle with fascination equal to passing an especially grisly wreck on the highway. The writing possesses sureness, authenticity, and maybe even a touch of poetry. If you have a rebellious teenager, don't read this book any time soon. This may just be the best book ever written by an author who's been shot twice, stabbed once, and bitten by a rattlesnake!

Life and times of a biker

I was lucky enough to read this book before it came out in print. An interesting account of how Richard "Deadeye" became involved with the lifestyle of a biker. I learned some things about my brother I didn't know, and confirmed what I thought. You could almost hear Deadeye narrate the book to you.

Can't wait!

I preordered this book a few months ago, because of the fact it's my uncles book. I'm just still waiting on it to be delivered...But I can't wait to get it, cause I know he's lived a crazy life and I'm interested to read all about it!! I'd recommend buying this book, if you want to read something worth reading!! I can say that and I haven't even read it yet, but, I'm sure it's a great book!!
