Undescribable gripping and beautiful

I love this book. As a talk radio host it's my "job" to be prepared and do the "research". This amazing book had me (as well as my family) in the palm of its hand. We cried, we laughed and we glowed all along the way. My two children begged me to read more. By the end of the story I had a sense of peace, inspiration and awe over the beauty of the depth of grief, love and community. Perfect for anyone who is going through a loss, has gone through a loss, and wants to be inspired through the grief of death. Yes...perfect for nearly everyone. Oprah where are you, on this one!

One day in Colorado Art Daily suffered a horrible tragedy when a boulder fell from the canyon wall and killed his wife and two sons, leaving him untouched. He faced a bleak future until stranger Allison, a woman struggling with her own grief following her older brother's suicide, met him and reached out. OUT OF THE CANYON tells their story and provides an inspirational story of personal survival for any general-interest lending library.

An Inspiration To Us All

This a powerful story of trusting your inner voice and choosing life in the face of death. Art and Allison's journey is so inspiring and so full of love it practically jumps off the page. Reading this book makes me want to be a better person. If in reality life is crumbling down on top of me, I want to be strong and continue to view life positively. This book will change your life if you let it....

A Must Read for Anyone Who Is Human

This is a book that touches to the soul. Art and Allison's story exemplifies that not only grief and sadness but also deep healing and growth can come out of unimaginable tragedy. And that the process is about feelings and tears and love and anger and honesty and love and not knowing how to be and wondering how to go on and love and letting friends in and letting them see you and love. It is about being human in the face of unspeakable grief. And it is about love. I cannot recommend a book more highly than I do this one. It is a book that will tear at your heart and elevate your spirit. For anyone who is dealing with their own humanness - read this book and celebrate life!
