Subtle and thoughful

Mark Smith-Soto's poems are both erudite and emotionally immediate. His work defies the classification of "Latino" yet also incorporates the poet's Costa Rican heritage and his study of Latin American literature. For any serious fan of contemporary poetry, this book is a must-have.
